Jack stumbled into the New Project house by accident due, apparently, to poor map-reading abilities, while searching for somewhere else for some as yet unrevealed purpose. Since arriving in the house, he has managed to get himself shrunk to a few inches tall by eating a bean given to him by Kate, then been rescued from becoming hamster food by Kirsty.
